Obi launched Android KitKat based smartphone in India called Obi Hornbill S551. It is now available for purchase on online stores at Rs. 9,230. The handset sports 5.5 inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and runs Android KitKat out of the box.
The Obi Hornbill S551 is powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek (MT6582) quad core processor bundled with 1GB of RAM. There is 8GB inbuilt storage which can expand up to 32GB via Micro SD card. The smartphone packs with 2200 mAh battery that provide talk time up to 8 hours and stand by time up to 200 hours.
The handset offers 13 megapixel Auto Focus rear camera with LED flash support and 5 megapixel fixed focus front camera also on board. Key features are Dual SIM, 3G, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth v4.0, Micro USB, and 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 156 x 76.8 x 7.9 mm and weight is 145 grams.
